OK, by the looks of the compatability I would think these should work... BUT before I do I would like some quick feedback to make sure these 2 cards will crossfire no problem.

I have a Asus HD6970 3 slotter DCU II - http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/EAH6970_DCII2DI4S2GD5/#specifications

I want to buy a Sapphire Radeon HD6970 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202035 to crossfire with so I can up the power I have for cheaper than buying a new model of card such as a Turbo 7970 or GTX680.

My guess this will work, correct? Just before I go and spend 200+ dollars on that card.

THANKS

Splendid
It will but crossfire is riddeled with problems im not sure its the best option compared to a 7970 or 680 and atleast you can sli/crossfire the 7970/680 when it becomes not enough for your demands which wont happen for a little while

Oh really? So Corssfire is just riddled with issues for the HD6000 series? Or is it just corssfire drivers in general? If that is the case, maybe I will be better getting the 7970 Boost edition I was looking at.
