Hey Everyone, this is my first Eyefinity setup and I've already run into issues, I believe after reading the Eyefinity Setup Guide sticky and a few other articles I know what the issue is but before buying a few active displayport adapters I figured i'd ask you guys, here goes;

I've got 3 ASUS MX279H Display's Paired to 2 XFX R7990's ( all connections in the primary card though) the Connections it has is 1x DVI and 4x mDSP.

The 2 Monitor's Tied into the mDSP -> DVI Converter's are working fine. it's the 1 DVI Monitor that's now working (or if I unplug one of the other's it does)

The message I get when trying to activate the 3rd Monitor in Windows is "Unable to save Display settings." do I need to run all 3 monitors on an active mDSP to DVI Converter?

Thanks for the help, and let me know if I need to add anything or if you need any further clarification!

I "think" it's Active, they are just the Converters that came with the 2 Card's here's a picture:

Well dang, I bought a few Active MDP to DVI Adapters and it's still not working, I put all 3 on the Active MDP's then just 2 with 1 dvi and then 1 DVI, 1 Passive MDP, 1 Active MDP here's what happened.

3 Active MDP's - No monitor works even if rebooting.

2 Active MDP's, 1 DVI - DVI Monitor Works, other 2 don't.

1 Active MDP, 1 Passive MDP, 1 DVI - 2 Monitor's work, DVI & Passive. Active is "seen" by windows but only as a Generic non-pnp monitor, unable to extend and can't change the rez past 640x480

Just for reference since from what i've read these monitor's and these card's are a bit out of the ordinary.

------------------

so Basically what I have currently with my 2 monitor working setup is

DVI------------------------------------------>>>HDMI Monitor
Passive mDP---->>>DVI Adapter------>>>HDMI Monitor
Active mDP------>>>DVI Adapter------>>>HDMI Monitor

The cable I have that came with the monitor's converts from DVI to HDMI...not sure if this is relevant or has an effect on the card that could be the source of my Issue.

Let me know, thanks!
