I'm trying to fix a scanning electron microscope that won't connect to a computer. It connects through a PCI card. At first I suspected a problem with the PCI card drivers, but i've completely re-installed windows and all drivers/programs given in the installation discs, following very clear procedures. However, the computer still shows the electron microscope isn't connected.
I'm starting to think it might be a problem with the PCI card itself. When you start the computer, there's an option to go to SCSI select before Windows boots. However, the only device found is the card itself. I doubt it's a problem with the microscope; it was working fine before the computer had a minor unrelated problem that was fixed.
Anyone have suggestions? I don't know very much about SCSI cards; am I doing something wrong?
