depends on the motherboard manufacture if they did any BIOS updates for the FX chip. ASUS, MSI, and Gigabyte tend to support their motherboards real well. So it will support FX but in a very limited way. The FSB may not work at the stock settings of the CPU so it might be underclocked and what not. Long story short, get a 9-series board if you can. Might be a lot of trouble if you stick with the 760g
