I am trying to make a system image of my C drive where my OS is installed.
To create backup I used windows 7 file recovery option.
But when I try to create disk image it shows C drive and Ddrive as "system" drives?
I have a SSD where OS is installed and the entire SSD is C drive. I use D drive which is part of my internal HDD just for storage there is no OS in it and I do not wish to create disk image of it but bcoz it is listed as system drive I can't uncheck it.

Is there anyway to make it non system drive?

If you take a look in disk management, which you can access from the administrative tools menu available when you right click in the bottom left corner, where you would launch the Start Screen, you will most likely find the System Partition located on the second hard drive. This partition contains the boot files for your system, as well as support for certain Windows features like BitLocker. If you do not intend to use BitLocker, you may be able to configure your system to boot from the primary drive only, allowing you to consider your second drive a non-system drive and to back up your image to it.

To accomplish this, shut down your system and disconnect your second drive, leaving only the Windows 8 SSD. If you attempt to boot your system at this point it should not boot properly, as it is missing boot files stored on the second drive. Boot the system to your installation media (or to the Windows Recovery Environment), accept your language settings, select Repair your computer, then select Troubleshoot, then Advanced options, then Command Prompt. At the Command Prompt, enter these commands:

Code:
Bootrec /fixboot
Bootrec /rebuildbcd
These commands restore the boot files to your system and rebuild the Boot Configuration Database, prompting you to add an entry for Windows 8 when it discovers it on your drive. Following these repairs, you should be able to boot your system to Windows 8.

You can then shut down your system and reconnect your second drive, then from Disk Management delete the system partition on the second hard drive. You may also want to verify in your system firmware that the hard drive boot priority is set to boot to your SSD.
