Hi
Today when I tried turning on my PC I was greeted with the username/password screen. I do not have a password setup for my pc and the computer only has one account which is the admin (me) so there is no way of accessing the control panel etc. When I go to safe mode the same thing happens (username/password screen - unable to access). I also do not have a password rest USB/disc so I am currently posting this on my phone. Are their any solutions to this problems? The computer was running fine just the day before (it updated - could be the cause?).
Thanks

I am the only user. As for the virus I cannot check as I have no access but it is highly unlikely.

Im afraid there isnt really anything else i can suggest without getting in trouble, contact microsoft and see if they can unlock your account if you supply them with legit credentials. The reason i cant suggest anything else it because i dont know if that PC is even yours for sure.

I do still have the windows 7 installation disc with me . So if there really isn't another option will doing a clean install of windows 7 be the way to go even If I lose my files?
