Pentium g860 upgrade

3 months a go I built a budget gaming rig using the pnetium g860, I would like to upgrade now howver I have a budget of £120, (I have an matx system btw) so should I go with the phenol IIx4 be and wait till next February for steamroller?

If you already have an 1155 socket mobo, I would upgrade to either an i3 or an i5 for your price range.

i5 3350P can be had for $180 USD = £120.

The i5 would be a better gaming CPU, as games are using 4 cores or more in newer titles.

I was thinking of that but, I was thinking of doing lil bit of overclocking my mobo is a h61 so It cant overclock, any suggetions? I can get an am3+ matx for like £35

You wouldn't want to get a really cheap motherboard for overclocking. And a Core i5 doesn't need to be overclocked to keep up with a Phenom II. The only problem is the Core i5s cost a bit more than £120.

the motherboard is 80 pounds but I can get it cheaper, from a vocher I had, and so you suggest to save up more then?
