Yes the I5 750 is older and yes it uses more power, But the i5 750 is a quad core and much faster than the i3 3220. If it was a i5 650 then no because it is a duel core also. But the i5 750 is a quad core and a monster of chip. I would definitely take the i5 since it is the i5 750 model. The model i5 750 is still being used by heavy gamers today, because there has been no need for them to upgrade from it. It still compares very close to the new i5's, So it would just be money for a tiny speed increase. They just upgraded the GPU's and some there ram too, And back to gaming they went. And the other reason for it consuming more power is because the better performance. 100w vs 25w is a big difference but that's why God made good 500 watt and up power supplys. The i5 750 does not consume much anyway at 100w. I do not see the big deal in using 75 more watts anyway, Trust me the polar bears will not notice a difference, And it will power down on its own when 100w is not needed.
