I have a dell dimension 24000 that previously had windows xp home edition on in it. I used Disc Wiper cd and erased everything off (which I have used before) now when I go to try an install of W7 it says "A required cd/dvd drive device is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, cd, dvd or usb flashdrive please insert now" I've done the caps, num lock and scroll lock, Alt e,f,b and still nothing? Any suggestions. I also know that trying to upgrade this to W7 is a pain in the butt but I'm a rebel and wanna make this work :) Also forgot to add that when I put W7 disc in it gets all the way the point where it says "No device drivers were found make sure that the Installation media contains the correct drives and then click ok" I know Im all over the place but I need major help. (2 days and counting)

markwp even thou I get "No devices were found make sure that the installation media contains the correct drives and then click yes" I need to GET a a version of W7 that's 32 bit????? It gives me an option to search computer or usb and floppy. Would I be able to download that file to my usb and then it will install? Or just get the W7 32bit version?

SR-71 Blackbird I've already wiped the hard drive clean, my problem is when I turn the computer on the 1st thing to come up is "strike f1 to retry boot, f2 for setup utility". Now when I put w7 disk in that I burned at the slowest speed it goes thru the process of trying to install and then states "no device drivers are found make sure that the Installation media contains the correct drives and then click OK". Now when I do put the flash drive in I do have an option to open it up but what DRIVERS am I missing?? I should have did an advisory check before I wiped it cleaned but I have done many upgrades from xp to 7 with minimal problems. This Dell dimension is really working me.
