i already ask a question pertaining if my mobo is compatible with a certain GPU.

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1674281/compatible-mobo.html

so now i already bought it. and the problem the gpu won't work. my monitor stays black and says no signal.

upon looking at the GPU and MoBo manual i notice something odd.
my MoBO says 1xPCI express x16 slot(PCI express 2.0) and my GPU says PCI express 3.0 x16 bus interface.
could it be the problem?

could anyboy help or give me some opinion with it. I really don't know anything about GPU stuff.

Thx.

Yes my VGA cable is connected to the GPU's VGA port.
Just a bit of a clarification cause i don't know a thing about the PCI 3.0 and 2.0 difference.
so even if the two don't have the same PCI number it won't be a problem and should work or won't have any compatibility issues?

Do you hear any beeps when you turn on the computer?

Did you plug the supplemental power connector into the GPU?

What kind of power supply do you have?

Yes the GPU is connected to a 6pin power connector. and I think I cpnnected it right cause the GPU fan is turning.
A have a Zumax 800wattes PSU.

It might be worthwhile to double-check the power connector. Just because the fan's spinning, it doesn't necessarily follow that the supplemental power is fed properly to the card; the motherboard itself provides some power, after all.

How did you connect the monitor to the video card? Did you use a DVI cable, HDMI, Display Port? VGA cable with a DVI adapter?

I'm almost out of ideas.

I just went to a friend of mine who knows this kind of stuff. And you know what happened after he checked if all are connected to its proper place and still a blank or no signal output appears on the monitor. He just removed the RAM from the MoBo and put it back again after doing some wiping on it. And when he turns it on again it worked and now its running perfectly fine.
