How would this build stack up against future consoles?

Hi, Im looking to build a gaming PC however I was wondering whether it would be better to just wait and get a PS4 later this year. I have been playing on consoles since the PSone and have never owned let alone build a Gaming PC however I have heard nothing but good things about PC gaming. However I don't know whether this build would have much over the future consoles like the PS4, or Xbox one. And I would be grateful if I got an opinion on my build because I do not have any experience.

Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LX Motherboard

CPU: Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K CPU

CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper TX3 Evo

RAM: Corsair CMZ8GX3M2X1600C8B Vengeance Blu Memory 8GB 1866MHz CL8 DDR3 Two Module Kit

GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 670 915MHz 2GB PCI-Express 3.0 HDMI

HDD: Seagate 1TB Barracuda Internal Hard Drive

PSU: Corsair TXM 650W Modular PSU

Case: NZXT Lexa S Case USB3.0 Version

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

Keyboard: Gigabyte K6800 Gaming Keyboard

Mouse: GIGABYTE M6880 Optical Gaming Mouse

Headset: Turtle Beach Earforce Z11 Headset (PC)

Monitor: Asus VE228HR 21.5 inch Widescreen LED Multimedia Monitor (1920 x 1080, 5ms, VGA, HDMI, DVI)

And do you think that this will be able to run future games like Assassins Creed 4, Watch Dogs, Killzone, Infamous second son on Ultra or very high setting or am I asking too much

Thank you :)

Mate, PC gaming ALL the way.

You like eye candy yes?

Then consoles get obliterated !

That GPU is very good, so it'll at least run those games on High. I can't imagine anything else!

If you're still doubting PC gaming, check this PC ONLY game:

You like legos?

Well building a PC is just like "Lego, advanced class" !

You don't need the PSU cooler. You're not OC'ing. Stock will be fine.

Get Win 8, so you don't have to upgrade soon.

Then this screen instead:

Make sure HDD is 7200 RPM and if you have cash, get a 120GB SSD too.

Get a non-K CPU. K is for OC'ing and I wouldn't recommend that on your first time.

You only need 1600Mhz...

Im trying to keep the budget at £1000 so I can't really get a SSD I am looking to OC since I really can't tolerate slow down in games and the reason I have picked Win 7 because I haven't really heard extremely positive reviews about Win 8 and I would love to get that monitor but Im already £60 over the budget. Also I was wondering if there would be complications with migrating the OS from the HDD to an SSD I might get it in the future. So would this build beat the consoles or would it be sub par in comparison to the next gen consoles
