Hello,

I noticed that recently, whenever I play a game, the first few minutes it's just going on 60 FPS. After that, it drops to like 20 FPS. I used MSI Afterburner to check GPU usage.
When FPS is 60, GPU usage is around 80%. Then, when it drops to 20 FPS, the GPU usage is like 30%. Is there a way to stop GPU usage from going down?

As for the temperature, when my games still went smoothly at 60 FPS, temperature used to be 70 degrees celcius, which I dont think is bad for a laptop at all.

it might be doing this to prevent the temperature from escalating higher.
I don't know what the maximum operable temperature is for a GT630m, but I would think no higher than 90C, so it is a bit strange that it throttles at 70C.
Using Afterburner, enable manual fan settings, and set it for 100% - this should help keep the temperature below the throttle threshold.
Other than that, I don't know what to suggest, I'm afraid - I'm not an expert on Laptop GPUs, apologies.
Nevertheless, my suggestion may be worth a go, let us know what happens. :)

Have you enabled manual fan control? To do so, unclick the little "Auto" box above the fan speed option.
Sorry to sound condescending if you already know how to do this, but of course I cannot be aware of the level of your computing knowledge. :)

I see. Like I said, I'm not an expert on Laptops, so apologies.
You could maybe try underclocking the GPU slightly to reduce the stress on it? You may be able underclock at just the right point where performance isn't impacted too heavily, but temp doesn't raise to the throttle threshold.
Other than that, I can't think of anything else, but I'm sure someone will come along shortly with a better solution.
Sorry I couldn't be of any more help, but good luck!
