I have a new computer, Windows 7 Home Premium, and much of this music is from three computers ago. Occasionally I am able to open up the file and every song is there, but this doesn't always happen. I throw myself on the mercy of the community.

Hello
A few quick questions.
1.WHat do you mean "open up the file and every song is there" do you mean your music is in a compressed archive (.zip/.rar etc) or what?
2. Which Hard-drive is your music on. Your Primary (C) or a secondary, if its a secondary is it external or internal drive?

Sorry, All I know is that I have a nice new computer, that all of my documents were transferred to it by my IT guy, and that on my old computer I had access to all of my tunes. Everything is stored within this box. I can: open Microsoft Word, click on open, click on All Files (over in the lower right hand corner) and I can see all of my songs. At this point, I can do no more. when I go to Media Player and library, my documents all music, I only get nine Gov't Mule songs. I do not have an administrator side, as far as I know.

I can access the songs i.e., see all of the titles, however I can only do this through word. I cannot access them when I open Media Player. I think I need to get them into a Media player library or something.

see above. I can open my documents, when in Word 7, and click on All Files, and all of my tunes can be viewed. However, that is all I can do with them, as far as I know. I have no access to them when in Media Player. They are not talking.

Leave Word alone.
Open Windows Explorer
Click on the C drive
search for mp3
