Hello,

I am looking for some advice on what GPU I should buy. Basically all I want is to be able to play Skyrim and Bioshock Infinite at Ultra Settings with 60 FPS or more for the average (if possible)

Also note I only want to buy one GPU (not interested in SLI or crossfire at the moment) Please don't recommend a super high end GPU that isn't necessary for what I want to play. I want to avoid bottlenecks/wasting money on something I won't use. PLus I can't afford a 650$ GPU. So Price range is 250-450$ I guess. Thanks!!

Here is my current build.

Intel i5 3570k (not overclocked, default clock)
Asus P8Z77-V LK Motherboard
750w PSU Mk III Silencer
120g SSD Samsung ( I plan on saving these games onto this drive along with OS)
1 Tb Western Digital Blue 7200 RPM
Enermax ETS-T40 CPU heatsink
GSkill 8gb Ram 1600 DDR3
Windows 8
22" 1080p Monitor - 1920x1080

Let me know if you need any more info about my build. I think I covered everything that is important.

The GTX 780 is the newest GPU from one of the two GPU makers; Nvidia.

It's very expensive, but not as expensive as Nvidias most expensive GPU, the GTX Titan.

However the GTX 780 is attractive because it offers up much of the same performance of the Titan,

for a much cheaper price. However for your budget, it's way over the top. Waiting for more news

on the 700 series would be a wise choice, as it's right around the corner. Say one or two weeks

perhaps. So if you aren't in a hurry, do wait. Note, that if you chose that last AMD card, you'll also get

around 4 games with it.

Thank you very much for those recommendations! As I was browsing this forum, I notice one talking about a gtx 780? I am guessing these are new. The 780 is way too much for me but should I wait for the rest of the 700 series to see what happens with prices? Or go with the GPU's listed above? Thanks!

Yes the GTX 780 is way over my head haha. But I will take your advice and wait a couple weeks to see what happens with the rest of the 700 series. I am not in a hurry at all so thank you very much for your help! Cheers!
