Pretty sure my graphics card is dead, can you confirm?

I recently purchased parts for my first build. The computer has been running smoothly.

All of a sudden my MSI Radeon 7870 stopped working. It doesn't send a signal to the monitor and is not even detected on the computer.

I've tried updating the drivers but since it's not recognized on the computer that doesn't work. Even the disc that comes with the card doesn't detect it. I've disabled the onboard graphics, that doesn't force the card to run. I've set the PCIe slot as primary, still doesn't run. Everything is properly plugged in, I'm sure of that.

I'm fairly confident my card died on me, the only thing that I'm confused about is that the graphics card fan still runs.

Anybody who knows more about this have an input?

maybe updating ur mobo's drivers will do something for the PCI-e controller, but otherwise, the only thing you can do is try it in another computer.

Otherwise, it sounds like a dead card to me. it's fans can still spin since it's still receiving power, but that doesn't mean that it works...
