Im trying to overclock my Phenom II 840, but I when I turn up my Vcore, In HW monitor it says its always the same for value after I trun it up. I have amd cool and quiet off, but dont know of anything else that might effect this.

I have my ram running at ~1333 with my HT link at 1600MHz PCIe at 100Mhz and my CUP Multiplier at 15 and my FSB clock at 240MHz.

Im trying to get my Vcore to about ~1.41 but when I look in HWmonitor
its wont go past 1.36.

My set up is:
AMD Phenom II 840
Asus M4A87TD EVO
4gig AMD Entertainment Edition 1333
gtx 470
750 watt Powersupply

Never ever trust software for voltages because they are almost always wrong. Put your multiplier back up to 16. I assume it's locked at 16? And bump your FSB up to 215MHz. That will get you up to 3.44GHz. Test for stability in Prime95 for at least 20 minutes. If it works then bump it up another 5MHz. Keep doing that until you find your max reference clock speed as is. FYI you can't get a huge overclock on those cheap Phenom II 840's because they are locked.
