External HDD Dropped with Pouch

Hi there!

I have an external HDD WD Elements and it fell, not in use, and inside a pouch like this https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQoeyey-4ompT0Y354V-ZEUnltRUbm4JyFi1EQgG9sPciVk1EcNHw it's hard like a cardboard. External HDD still works, I can perfectly access it but will it continue to work in the future? I put my files here but I frequently backup it. It fell from about 1'10". Thank you.

The simple answer is that only time will tell. You might want to run a disk utility to check the health of the drive and check for any bad sectors. If it comes up clean then I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't continue to work in the future. It's good to hear that you frequently back up your files because so many realize the importance of backing up after it's too late.
