AMD FX 6100 Six core Problems

I have a problem with my AMD six core processor, I cannot run certain games like Black Ops 2, or Counter Strike: GO and also cannot run D3 at its full potential, I have a HD Rad 7870 and I'm still having problems I have looked up multiple things about it and everyone says that I need to update my bios, I really don't want to mess anything up by doing this so I'm wondering if anyone else knows this issue or knows how to fix it, if not how can I update my bios? Thanks in advance, If you need any other info just post here and I will be glad to say it.

What motherboard do you have? What happens when you try to play the games you mentioned? What are the rest of your systems specs and what is your OS?

I don't know the mother board because it's a computer made from cyberpower and I cannot tell what the mother board is, but the OS i windows 7 and it has 8gb of ram, amd 6100 6 core 3.3ghz and the graphics card I said before, what pretty much happens is that it drops frames constantly during gameplay and its only with CS GO and black ops 2 I can run BF3 just fine, but everywhere I have went andlooked up this problem everyone says it's a bios problem...

Try Updating your Drivers....?? goto www.amd.com and get them...

The Bulldozer (like the FX6100) had poor clock/instruction performance for single threaded applications.

I suggest you overclock it. If you don't want to overclock you can upgrade to the FX6350 piledriver.

It definitely sounds like a driver issue as it only appears to affect certain games. All your games run correct? just not anywhere near acceptable framerates? I agree with kingpin update your drivers first. I cant advise you on a bios update if you dont know your motherboard manufacturer, however when you start up your comp there is generally a splash screen that will tell you the manufacturer. Also during this it will show key to enter bios (generally f2 or delete). Often you will see a model number somewhere in there. Depending on the make you may not have to know the exact model number to update the bios, but this is a last resort option as it can be fatal to your motherboard if something goes wrong. First is always updating drivers for all your hardware that will affect gameplay. Also I notice that these are multiplayer games you seem to be experiencing the most problems with do these troubles only occur when playing online?
