First off, forgive me if the answer is obvious, I really just want to double check with people with more experience than me.

My room is about as far away from the router as possible. Opposite corners of the house. We hooked up my computer via Ethernet, so that's all fine and dandy. However, my Wi-Fi isn't that stable or fast.

My question is this: can I get another router, hook it up to the network via the Ethernet that my computer is connected with, and then not only connect my computer via that router, but get a strong Wi-Fi connection with it as well? Since the Ethernet is connected via the main router (which is connected to the modem), should I try to avoid running the internet through 2 routers?

Here's a diagram.
- dotted = wireless; solid = wired
- router/router 1 is far away = bad wi-fi
- router 2 is close = better wi-fi?

Do you guys think this would help? Would my computer connection be slower? What do you suggest?
