Hi everyone.

My computer randomly locks up and I can turn the screen on but no image comes up All the fans and everything running but I can't see anything on my screen. Also of interest is my Keyboard's LCD screen (Logitech G510) shows the time that it locked up. It will be stuck on that time instead of ticking over like normal.

With these symptoms, what could it be? It seems to happen fairly randomly. Hasn't happened in a while but when it does it happens a fair bit. Also important to note that it never happens while I'm using it. Only when I come back after a while I notice it's locked up.

Thanks!

oh btw I have i7 920 stock, 7970 gigabyte oc stock, p6t motherboard

I've had the same issue on my second pc that also has a G510.
At first the keyboard would not respond or lights will not work and also the lockup of the pc.

I removed and reinstalled the latest version of Logitech SetPoint and that seemed to have solved my issue.

I mentioned this because I think it's a good symptom to describe the issue, I have to raise my doubts that keyboard software would continually and randomly lock up the system. I'm updating it now anyway, thanks :) .

Well my PC ran fine on it's current BIOS version for about 1-2 years, and I'm fairly sure it's the most recent one. Also BIOS updates are fairly risky in my experience, so I'd rather not get myself into deeper water. Thanks anyway!

Check for dust clogging and slow fans...over heating. Check that your ram s seated. Try running memtest and if system is still locking up run adware monitor and see if your ps voltage is not holding.
