I have a Asus P8z77-v LX Motherboard, it's fitted with a Sapphire 7870, and i'm wondering if i should upgrade to a EVGA GTX 680? Will it fit? and do you think i should really upgrade?

If there's a site for compatibility i'd love it, thanks.

Solution
Any PCI-E VGA will fit there, so no worry. But I suggest waiting for GTX770 to come out, which is a GTX680 branded, but with lower price tag than 680s atm.

680 is roughly 20% faster.

And you should wait like 2 days and wait for the GTX 770 to come out. it's a cheaper and faster version of the GTX 680.

Thanks, yeah did a bit of research and the 680 only requires a 1x 16 PCI slot, 3.0 or 2.0, so my board should fit it fine, still wondering if i should get it or not.

How long ago did their 700 series come out? And why're they making a 770 if there's already a 780?

GTX 780 came out a week ago. GTX 770 came out today.

And of course they're going to make lower tiers of the 7 series. Not everyone can afford $650 on a 780....
