Sapphire 7970 vapor x 3gb crossfire issues

Hi guys,

I was wondering if there was anyone out there having the same issue as me in regards to crossfire with two 7970 vapor x cards, The issue im having is that in some games im almost losing performance unless anti aliasing is off some examples are hitman absolution call of duty black ops 2.

In hitman on a single card i used to get 75 to 85 fps maxed out with 8x msaa and black ops 2 was close to 160 fps maxed out with 8x msaa, now with the 2 cards hitman is unplayable with any anti aliasing and black ops 2 barely gets 40 fps but when i drop the aa off black ops goes up to around 200fps and hitman is roughly 70fps.

My specs are:
gigabyte z77x-d3h mobo
i7 3770k @ 4.2ghz
16gb G skillz ripjawsX ddr3 1600mhz
2x Sapphire 7970 vapor x 3gb
1000w Seasonic platinum psu.

Sorry for the novel but any help would be awesome

Sounds like a driver related issue. If it's only for a few games I would think it would be a bad driver. Have you tried rolling back to a earlier driver?

Ive only gone back so far as 13.4 i was running the 13.5 beta 3 driver. Is there a driver you might suggest?

No sorry I don't have a particular driver version in mind... But you say that other games are doing well and with noticable performance increase in crossfire compared to a single card?

I'd recommend a clean driver install following these steps:

I'd also recommend disabling ULPS after you reinstall new drivers, and then see if your issues are solved.

Cheers for that man will follow the steps when I finish work

Hitman won't improve much, it appears to be CPU bound.
