I am new to the forums so I'm sorry if this has been asked before. What will be better to get? An i5 3570k or an i7 3770k? I will be using the CPU for playing games like Battlefield 3 and 4 (when it comes out), and rendering videos using programs like Sony Vegas. Will these perform well while playing highly CPU intensive games? I know the i7 is obviously a better choice but my question is whether or not the 3770k is actually that much better than the 3570k? Is it worth the $100 difference or will the i5 3570k be ok? Any responses are appreciated. Thanks.

Solution
Sony Vegas supports Hyper-Threading so the Intel Core i7-3770K will yield better performance results. In terms of gaming alone, the Intel Core i5-3570K will be sufficient.

Will the i5 3570k still be sufficient for games that are coming out later this year such as Battlefield 4 and Grand Theft Auto 5?

1.According to me wait for haswell my friend if you have choice of i7 it means u have a good budget for gaming pc. Only few days remaining in haswell comes. You can go with that for latest generation.
2. If you can't wait for any reason, then go with i5-3570k. Because there is $100 difference b/w i5 and i7. There is only 5% performance difference between them. Then I don't think there is any profit in $100.
Thank you.
