ASUS A8R-MVP - Replacement Issues

I have an old pc which one day just stopped working completely with just NO SIGNAL message on the monitor (no sounds, no logo, no way to access bios).

I read through the forums and found out is most likely the motherboard. Found the same model and ordered it. Finally today I replaced the motherboard and power up. Now the first thing I noticed that monitor actually responded and saw a couple blue vertical lines on the screen. After a couple seconds it just went away and the same NO SIGNAL message appear. So i restarted the pc and noticed that there is bios sounds one long beep, the keyboard nums lights up etc. Started spamming the del key and go in the bios.

Now the bios had vertical blue/black lines on screen ( most of them were pair of 4 or 5 lines then gaps another 4-5, but i could still see most of the screen).

So I still could navigate through the bios. Unfortunately changing any settings, resetting the default ones did not change much (Cleared the CMOS as well with jumpers). All the temperatures were good ( around ~31C for cpu). Then turned off the pc and decided to check the video card if it properly fitted. Seems to be fine, check the other pcie slot with the fitted "MPV SWITCH CARD" and decided to try it again.

Turned on the pc and this time unfortunately I was back where I started with the old motherboard. No sound, no keyboard lights, can't access the bios anymore.

Does it mean there some kind of issues with one of the components (PSU?) and my new motherboard just died as well?

If anyone can shed some light on this one would be greatly appreciated.

I'm more interested about why did it go all silent again, is it PSU problem? I mean at the beginning it was working somewhat and I could get in to the bios and now its the same as the old motherboard (no reaction whatsoever). What could have caused it?

I tested the actual video card and it was working on the other system (my current pc), so then i borrowed a different card and it was still not working with the old system, based on that I realised that it was motherboard fault and bought a new one. However now like I mentioned before I'm back to the stage 1, where nothing is working anymore. Only fans are spinning.

Is it safe to assume that the new motherboard just fried as well? Anyway to test it?
