Hi. I am trying to install the software for DataColors Spyder4Express. I am running Vista Home Premium SP2. I am doing the right-click "Run as administrator" on the setup file. I have turned off UAC. I have turned off antivirus. I keep getting the message: "Setup cannot write to the destination file 'ApplicationData\Datacolor\Spyder4Express\Create.txt'

I have checked the security permissions on the folder and they are correct. Any ideas? I have scoured the 'net for similar issues and can't find anything. Thanks.

Hi. I just wanted to update this and say that I finally got the software to install by running the .exe in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode. Shouldn't have to do that but that's what worked.

Installation Requirements:
• Windows XP 32/64, Windows Vista 32/64, Windows 7 32/64, Windows 8 32/64
•Color monitor with at least 1024x768
•24‐bit video card
•Powered USB port

As to why it only installed with XP SP2 compatibility is a mystery. Usually when installing software for a device, you are not supposed to connect it until the dialog message asks you to connect it so you may have had the device connected to the PC before installing the software.

Does it work now, the way it is supposed to?
