i5 3570k+asrock z77 pro3+ sapphire hd 7850

Hi,

Just like to have some idea with you guys to help me figure out my plan to build a gaming rig as per below..

I5 3570k
Asrock z77 pro3
Sapphire hd 7850
8gb ram
Samsung 840 pro 128 gb
Cx500 +80 bronze psu

Plan to overclock but cant squeeze in a cooler so ill keep it stock for the mean time....

In this build how far can i clock the i5 if in time i already got a cooler..

Also what will be my min-max fps when playing bf3,crysis3,metro and all other demanding games in ultra settings and 1080p res...

Will this build also keep me to play new games for the next 2-3 yrs..

I would get a lower end i5. (3350p, 3330, 3470) and an h77 motherboard. This will allow you to get a better GPU and have better settings and FPS in games.

You won't get more performance in gaming by overclocking the CPU, if you match it with that GPU. And you're asking a lot from a 7850 , it won't play those games in Ultra at good frames, maybe BF3 ( avgeraging around 35 fps ). And it won't have you gaming in Ultra settings for the next 2-3 yrs.

Yes to this. I'd even be inclined to go with an AMD build , with a FX 6300/6350 and inexpensive board. Should leave room for a 7950.

thanks guys for you kind info....

but since im here in the middle east (Saudi Arabia ) and the price point for components are really expensive compare to US or UK...

so im really tightening up my budget also AMD are not far behind to intel with regards to price here...

now i had revise my rig as per below...

i5 3470
MSI Motherboard ZH77A-G43
Sapphire vapor-x 7950
PSU cooler master extreme 2 725 watts (is this ok ) and if i go with this build its around $100 more from the previous one and is it worth it or the gpu will bottleneck the cpu?

Coolermaster makes junk PSUs. What other options for brands do you have?

The GPU will not even come close to bottlenecking the CPU.

yaaaikzz!!! i though going with that will be fine, what about the corsair cx 500 +80 bronze i had mentioned for the first rig is that enough or Corsair GS600 Watt, 80+ Bronze which will again cost me more :-(
