So I just built my computer last night.

ASUS M5A97 R2.0
FX 8150 Processor
H55 Watercooling
GS700 PSU
XFX HD 7770 GPU
Running in an Agusta Case

One of the fan cords actually caught fire because the way they prewired everything in the case, I'm pretty mad about it because I lost 2 fans in the process, but I've replaced them and everything seems alright. The computer turns on, and show the "Asus" logo on the screen, then it shuts off after 2 seconds of showing it.

I've installed the mobo speaker but it's not giving me anything.

I'm about to breadboard it, but I want to get some second opinions and maybe some quick fixes. I've made sure everything is plugged in, CPU power, mobo power ATX, PCIE, and some of the 4 pins on some of the fans they've given me.

The watercooling was a pain in the ass (excuse my language) to install. It literally took me 5 hours to figure out how to install it because the instruction kit they give is seriously the most vague thing I've ever had.

Hopefully it's something simple, like a bent pin on the CPU.

Ideas? I really need help on this, I'm upgrading from a pentium duo core with a 250 GTX :\

Hi,

First thing, get the ram out and try to post.

If you get beeps, it most likely mean mobo, cpu are fine. No beeps mean you got probably have mobo, cpu and/or psu problems.

If your fan caught on fire, you most likely plug in wrong and might of damage mobo.

Sometime, when computer power on and off, could be power cable for cpu not plug in or cpu fan not plug in properly.

good luck

So I installed the speaker, I'm getting one really short beep, then it powers off, any ideas?
