Games I will be playing: WoW, Rift, GW2, Lotro, Neverwinter, TESO (When it comes out), LoL, WarZ.

Budget for laptop: 600-750$
Did a lot of research, found these.

I'm starting college soon, so I need a portable laptop with a low price tag that can run most of these games on mid at least.

A bit out of my price range, but also this:

Alright, now on to the PC. I don't have much to spend. 300-500 max without the monitor.
I'm considering building one myself (I'v never actually used a PC before, i'm a laptop guy, so I wouldn't know where to start), but Newegg seems to have reasonably priced PCs with decent specs. I'm also considering buying refurbished ones from Newegg.
I'v been looking at these...
PS: I'm looking to play my games on mid-high, so yea...

Refurbished:

I realize this is a long post, thanks in advance!

From the links you provided, I'd go for anyone of these:
1. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Series-NP350V5C-T01US-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B0098O6CMO/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
2. http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-59345245-Z580-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B009MPBJKO/ref=amtcd_B00ATANY3Q_B009MPBJKO

Now from links you posted for a pc, this one seems better than any of them
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229362

Let me suggest you something, why don't you put that budget you got for pc in your laptop's budget. Being honest you can't really get a good pc with that budget, so why not get a better laptop at least? I'm sure if the laptop's budget can be increased to $900 it will do a kaboom job. And by the links you provided me now, these are even enough to handle the games you're going to play.

I'd actually spend less on the laptop and more on the desktop. Maybe decrease your budget for the laptop for $600 and then use the $150 for an increase in budget on the desktop. That would put your build around the $700 territory and you could get a system like this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-6350 3.9GHz 6-Core Processor ($129.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock 970 EXTREME4 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($105.91 @ Newegg)
Memory: Mushkin Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($63.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB Video Card ($173.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 520W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($75.98 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($14.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $679.82
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

For the laptops the only one that'll really give you good gaming is http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B7JE6FS/?tag=vglnk-c1001-20 all the other ones only have intergrated and those aren't ideal for gaming at all.

Also your budget for a desktop is going to fall within the budget build category and there's guides up for those. You're not going to find a desktop for sale that'll give you performance at the price point. If you want a recommendation, forget the desktop and just buy a 1k laptop that should handle everything for you.

The title might have been misleading. I'm not personally buying the laptop, but rather a close family member of mine is buying it for me as a gift. I can't really ask her for the money, but maybe I can suggest adding my own 400$ (which I planned to buy/build a gaming pc with) to her amount to get a better laptop, in the 900$ range. Another option would be to get one of the laptops I linked and then save up like 200-300$ and build my own PC in the 700$ price range as g-unit1111 suggested.

As for the laptop, hmm so should I go for

http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-59345245-Z580-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B009MPBJKO/ref=amtcd_B00ATANY3Q_B009MPBJKO

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Series-NP350V5C-T01US-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B0098O6CMO/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
or
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B7JE6FS/?tag=vglnk-c1001-20

???

Gaming performance/build quality is what matters really.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Among the ones you chose, I think this one would do the job,
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B7JE6FS/?tag=vglnk-c1001-20

And I recommend the 2nd option.

I decided on going with option 2, which is saving up enough cash for a gaming pc.

On another note, I'm not exactly sure what my aunt's budget is for the laptop she's going to get me...so to be on the safe side.

http://www.amazon.com/Asus-A55VD-AH71-ASUS-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B009M2XB6M/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

vs

http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-V3-571G-6622-15-6-Inch-Midnight/dp/B00B7JE6G2/ref=dp_ob_title_ce#productDetails

I'd like to be able to run my games on mid since it's just going to be a temporary replacement (for gaming) till I build my pc.
I'm leaning towards the Asus, (I love their laptops, great quality and lasts long) I could even get myself a http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-1600MHz-Laptop-Memory-CMSO16GX3M2A1600C11/dp/B009M0TFFU/ref=cm_cr_dp_asin_lnk for it to maximize my performance speed.

I'v never used an Acer product before, but I haven't heard the best of things.

In terms of the ASUS A55VD-AH71, it has a better processor. But gpu it got is not better than the Acer one. But in the Acer you get an i5. In terms of gaming, the Acer may perform better but not with a very big margin 'cause the difference in gpu is not that much. I myself would get the Asus one.

In the Asus, you get a external gpu. It's GT 610 and the VRAM is 2GB. It's not that high end but but it's better than the on-board which the Lenovo got. Again the processor is i7 Ivy in both them, right. But the Asus one seems to have the newer than the lenovo one. Then again the Asus one got 8GB rams where the Lenovo got 4GB. And in the end despite all these, Asus is a very well known and reliable brand for laptops.
