Hi

I am building my first PC and am curious as to my power being enough

Phenom II X4 965 - 3.4 Ghz
ASUS M5A78L-M
16gb vengeance ram
Asus GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC

I have ordered a Corsair CX430M

Will this be enough?

Thanks

I will not be using this for gaming or putting any pressure on the system really

I play poker for a living online and just want something than runs fast with x2 24" screens and up to 10 programs with out stalling or cutting out

The programs are not very big and don't use much RAM Will this ease he pressure on the CPU?

if thats all youre using you can save some money. you could get a gtx 650 or something like that if youre not gaming. and 16 gb of ram is probably overkill if the programs youre using are not very resource intensive. I have 8 gb in my work computer and i never go over half with a lot of programs open, and only get close when i have a few virtual machines up.

- A GTX 650 is far, far overkill for just playing online poker. It is a full-fledged gaming GPU.
- If cost is a concern, I reccomend instead getting an APU build. It will be much less expensive, though since you are not going to be heavily gaming, it will perform JUST as well as the build you posted; if not better with the inclusion of an SSD and the fact it will use less power and less heat.
- 16 GB RAM is far more than you need. 4 GB should suit you fine, but 8 GB is coming the new standard.

What is your budget?

Not really concern about the overkill And not penny pinching

I have ordered all parts And was just concerned that i might need more power to run then the 430w

I will send back this 430w and order this as they have it in stock

Will this be sufficient?

Sorry I don't know more myself but I play for cash on daily basis and really don't want the slightest hiccup so hence the overkill spec

I know is way too much for what I want it for but for the sake of a couple of hundred euros and the fact tht it will do me for years doing what I'm doing with it

Thanks for all your replies by the people Really can't thank you all enough

That'll definitely last you for quite awhile for your uses, I can gurantee that.

I echo the above. That PSU will be quite enough for you!
