Skyrim on Ultra with this setup?

Am I missing something here? I was told that with the setup I was going to get that I would barely be able to play Skyrim (1366x768) on medium due to the cpu bottleneck, but I'm playing COMPLETELY maxed out at like an avg of 40 fps in cities and out of cities.

CPU: Athlon II X4 640
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 1GB

Is running Skyrim at these settings gonna like destroy my computer or something? I'm seriously scared to run it again on those settings, but at the same time excited that it can do it. Thanks guys.

No but if I were you i'd turn down settings like shadows to help increase the fps as its not noticable and its mostly cpu driven. Some people like low frame rates aslong as your not getting extremely high tempratures you'll be fine playing at ultra and aslong as you like those frame rates you'll be fine.

I don't know about Ultra settings, but HERE from Anandtech. Obviously they used a different CPU/Mobo than you might have, but you can use this just as a guideline.

. Also, If I'm getting these frame rates on these settings on Skyrim, what do you think I would be getting on what settings on Bioshock Infinite? I just finished downloading it, but I can't play it right now.

Alot less unless your playing on direct x 9. Bioshock infinite is a direct x 11 game which theoretically should run faster but with its extra graphical settings it seems to tax gpus alot more
