HTPC media server parts, yes no?

HTPC and streaming with PLEX, this unit will connect directly to the network via Ethernet and also the 42" living room TV.
I expect to be getting 1080p from this as well, my only concerns was the graphics, is a non dedicated sufficient for this job?

Yea, it will have no problem playing back 1080p. I would even say, unless you are doing some light gaming, to go with an i3-3220 as it requires less power, will produce less heat and also be quieter for the same reasons (less cooling required).

I normally would go with intel, as this is a build for people I don't expect to really take care of it, I wanted it to be on the cheaper standards. Also, I know amd has a better track record for upgrade ability and would reduce money put into it over time.

Yes, those are both valid points. If that's the case, then you are pretty much good to go with that build. Do you have a PSU picked out?
