I have a 700W Power Supply, a GTX 660 TI and a AMD FX-8120 8 Core. Will it be safe to turn off Cool N' Quiet and AMD Masters Mode even if I have no water cooler and temps can occasionally exceed 70 degrees celcius?

Even at load, it shouldnt be that high.

Dont be too worried though. The temps are high; but they're not dangerously high. I suggest you fix the heat issue soon, but it isnt too damaging as it is now.

isnt cool n quiet just onderclocking the cpu and turning the fan down when the cpu is not fully utilized?

Guess turning it off would be fine. However your temps are really high. I would clean out the dust and reapply thermal paste to see if that does anything. Maybe get more airflow.

It only gets that high when I'm in fairly demanding games such as Far Cry 3, Crysis 3, or Battlefeild 3. How worried should I be?
