xfx radeon hd 7950 core edition !

so i ordered an xfx radeon hd 7950 core edition yesterday. and i have been reading threads that it has a bad fan and it gets way too hot so what i like to know is is this true and should i change to sapphire. btw i do have an sapphire radeon hd 6870 now and i do like sapphire :p

the fan on the 7950 core is a stock fan, and thus getting a stock sapphire fan won't do anything. It would be better to get a DualX cooling system or a 7950 with two fans. The only 7950 with one fan that I would recommend is the HIS 7950 IceQ, which beats alot of coolers on the market when the boost bios is flashed to 7970 and then you downvolt. If you don't plan to change the bios, its not really worth it.

i was thinking that i would buy and 7870 ghz edition witch has dual x because its about the same price as the xfx 7950 witch i ordered.

yeah im gonna get the XT and no the 7950 is not at the same price only the xfx one is.

the 7870 xt were all gone and i dont want to wait for about a month to get one so i took the 7870 ghz edition oc :/
