I have replaced most parts on past computers (graphics card, memory, optical drive, hard drive, etc) so I think I should be able to build one with the video tutorials.
I've looked through tons of posts on many sites and came up with the following list. I wanted to check on a parts list as well as ask if there are any potential pitfalls I should be aware of building from scratch. I don't plan to overclock or crossfire. My goal was to try to find a balance between cost and performance, did I do OK?

Personally I think this is a good balance of cost and performance at stock settings.

Your build will work and has no major pitfalls, with what I did I got a cheaper CPU and motherboard that shouldn't bottleneck the GPU and used the extra money for the GPU. And in the end I wound up with money left over. I just find the 7870xt as a good card at this price point and stepping up to a 7950 is possible in this budget and respectable I'm just not sure if I do that, personal preference.

I'd probably go for the Sapphire 7870XT, or get a 7950.

750W is way overkill.

The non turbo speed is only 100mhz difference but when turbo kicks on its a difference of 3.3ghz vs 3.6ghz. And the 3470 has the integrated GPU which means it can use Quicksync. It's worth the extra $5 in my opinion.
