Asrock or Gigabyte H77

Hi all

I just want to know what is the best out of these two or if there are other ones for similar prices around.

Gigabyte is a more reputed brand (not saying ASRock is bad)

The Giga one has better board layout while the Asrock one packs more connections, but then Giga one still has more RAM slot. As for build quality, Gigabyte is well-known for their Ultra Durable brand, so I'd go with Gigabyte if SPDIF port isn't a must. Also consider MSI H77MA-G43 for 5$ more, witch has very neat board layout and heatsink for mosfet, which ensure the longevity of your components.

As long as they both have the same features you want, I'd personally buy the cheapest.
I have never used ASrock but have used Gigabyte quite a few times and no problems so far.
I would be prepared to buy an ASrock Motherboard but I also like the look of the MSI brand as well.
