gpu not performing as it used to

Hello

I built a pc about 6 months ago, it gets frequent use and i play bf3 a lot, when i first got the pc on bf3 i was able to run basically everything on ultra excluding shadows which i would put on medium and anti aliasing would be on 2x. However i found mouse lag on ultra so started to play on the high preset. however now i seem to be unable to play on high or the ultra settings i used before and i am forced to use medium. As on high i get quite a lot of lag, i have noticed this problem universally on my games. I have not yet cleaned my pc of dust since i built it, is that potentially the problem?

Open up the case, blow dust out with compressed air. Pay close attention to the heat sinks. Those are what displaces the heat from your CPU, GPU, and VRMs. When they get clogged up, the sinks efficiency is lowered, creating higher temps.

Thats a good place to start. If it doesnt help, then we can continue to troubleshoot

i have around 100gb and i checked and my gpu was at about 65c and my cpu was at around 50 c
