I'm looking to buy the samsung 840 pro 128gb, I've never had 2 hard drives in my computer so i got a couple questions.

1. will i need to uninstall windows 7 in my current hdd, if so how do i go about just uninstalling windows..

2. If i dont want to transfer all my games/programs onto the ssd will i still be able to play them off the old hdd?

3. do i need to set the ssd to master and the old hdd to slave?

1. No but you should.
2. You should just clone the drive to the SSD. Otherwise you will not be able to run applications for the secondary storage drive properly.
3. There are no master/slave settings.

My advice would be to clean up your current HDD and get everything organized. Delete the junk, empty the recycle bin and clone that drive to the SSD. After that, you can wipe your HDD and configure it to store your data. Since the SSD is expensive real estate, I recommend moving your user profile to the second HDD to conserve space. It's not hard but does take a little time.

There are free applications for cloning but if your old HDD has more data then you can't really clone it. I will probably be best to do a clean OS install and re install your apps. You might consider a larger SSD too. I try to keep my SSD boot drives about 40 or 50 % unused. SSD drives don't perform well when completly filled with data.
