Windows 7 Keeps rebooting

Hey guys.

I've just recently finished building my new computer and everything works fine. However, when booting up it constantly restarts at the 'windows is starting up' screen..

I have just installed the ASrock Z77 Mobo and intel i5-3570k and corsair builder cx600 PSU.

Any ideas?

  1. you mean you upgrade it?

Is this a hardware upgrade from a previous install of Windows on the SSD/HDD or a fresh install of Windows (assuming you go that far)?

If a hardware upgrade, go into your BIOS and check your SATA mode. Set to IDE. Save and try again.

  3. If its not a fresh install then you will have to re install windows again

Thank you, what's the difference between the 2?
  7. Are you booting from a SSD or a HDD? If a HDD, there is no significant difference from a user perspective. See here for more:

If you are booting from a SSD (or using a SSD at all), you need to enable AHCI for TRIM to work properly.
