Hello,
Someone borrowed my USB and I don't know whatever he did to it. When I used it again on my laptop, all my files were gone except for a shortcut file with the same name as my USB's name. I opened it and it said, "There was a problem starting ~$WPFLWHA.FAT32" and "The specified module could not be found."

I thought that maybe there might be a virus on it so I scanned it. But surprisingly, the scan says all my files are still in my USB. There were two threats found (I can't remember the files) and I immediately deleted it. I tried opening the only file in my USB which was the shortcut file but the same message is displayed.

I'm assuming that my files are in that shortcut.

Can someone please help me on how to recover my files?

More than likely the files are there but they are hidden. If that is the case you have to use the attrib command. Open a command prompt (cmd.exe) and navigate to the drive letter of your USB drive. Once there type in the following command without the quotes to see if this is the issue: "attrib *.*".

Be careful, as this is usually caused by a virus. Clean everything up and try finding the hidden stuff.
