Backup to multiple 300GB drives

Ok, so this is an odd one. I have a bunch of 300GB IDE drives in carriages and I've been using them to back things up by just copy and pasting data to them. This is clunky and takes a good amount of time. Is there a better method? I'd love to be able to do a incremental if possible. I really can't buy a bigger drive so I'm really looking to utilize what I have.

there's some backup software that would do this and also may be able to compress the data going to the backup disk.

THANKS! I'll have to try those. The only thing I'm concerned about is I can't really hot-swap the drives.

Robocopy (a command line executable and already on your pc if you have win7 but a GUI is available) will easily do this as will Microsofts Synctoy 2.1 (a free download)
