Hello guys

I am currently writing a concept to an extended essay topic which is concerned with high-end hardware. I am searching for informative sources which are about the demand of high end hardware, would that by the amount of sales of high end hardware components or just articles or papers about companies making profit with their high end products line. Could someone suggest any articles from tomsHardware or any other sides which might provide such information. Just anything showing or just stating the demand of high end CPUs, GPUs etc. Something that says that people buy such hardware.

Yeah but what articles could you specify? Its hard to find specific articles on this page, I have been searching. Thank you for those websites.

Indeed.

I just didn't know what really qualified for it... I mean Nvidia always makes good money

of off their GPUs and their's always people who go for the high end; well the new 700 series

are out, so that's high end and it's selling I bet... So... But I doubt it would work to quote a review

of a GPU. Also I linked to those sites because if you use a feed, you could link up with them all perhaps

and thus always be able to keep an eye out. Something like feedly for example.

Thank you very much for that. It will come in handy.

So guys what do you really think, is there a demand of high end hardware components? I am sure there is one and its not low, but I have to find info as you see in order to prove that. Help me out please.

Again what is your definition of high end components. When you say high end I think of tesla cards and similar, not consumer products. If your referring to say a titan, your speaking of luxury products which are in many cases outside of normal demand curves. Their sales volumes and demands are seldom rational, where the consumers perceived gain is far more than simply the added speed gain received as the dollar/performance ratio is way off. Just like people buy other luxury products as a status symbol, or other unquantifiable reasons.

As is the case with many other luxury products in a companies portfolio, their main purpose most often is not to achieve huge profit margins but function as both a sales driving instrument (the wow factor) as well as a technological show piece to shareholders to know what things are to come or attainable by a company. As well as other reasons, but I don't feel like typing it all out.

Anyway that's my Econ 102 speaking.
Edit: spelling is hard for me apparently

What I mean by high-end hardware is high end computer components which are for personal computer and are top models of companie like AMD, Nvidia, Intel etc. So to say your "luxury" definition. For example GPUs like amd starting from the HD7950 till like the HD7970 GHz edition etc. SAme with those high end i7 Intel processors with multiple cores and very high clock speed (clocked). Titans and the 690 are also something. Thats what I mean by high end hardware. Thank you again for your reply.
