Hello.

I'm picking out parts for a first time gaming pc build.

And I can't really decide on a monitory. I really don't know that much about them. Pretty new to this stuff.

Some I found by just searching newegg are This one And This one

I'd prefer it to be from 21-25 inches. Or however big a monitory for gaming should be. But I think I'd be most comfortable with 24-27.

Thank you for your time. Like I said I'm pretty new to this stuff so any advice and tips are welcome.

here's my parts list at the moment. Parts list

Honestly? Not a lot. Literally? 4 milliseconds (lol :p).
1ms monitors are often very expensive, and to be honest, the difference is unnoticeable.
It's kind of like saying does 60fps look different to 59fps? Yes, it does, but I don't think anyone on this planet will notice the difference between 59 and 60 fps.

Good monitor brands are LG, Samsung and (to a lesser amount) Acer.
LG and Samsung always make superb monitors, whereas Acer sometimes churn out an awful one, but on the whole, Acer monitors are good.

It says it has 5ms.

I think i heard somewhere than the less 'ms' the better for playing games. What exactly are 'ms'?

Also my current computers screen is reflective which is beyond annoying for me since I can't really see too well in the dark. So having it reflective makes dark things almost impossible to see because of reflections.

Does the monitor you suggested and the ones I posted in the OP not have reflective screens?

5ms is the response time. ms is simply milliseconds. the lower the better, but 5ms is respectable.

I don't think any modern monitors have reflective screens, it's pretty much industry standard to be matte-coated nowadays.

How much of a difference is there between 5ms and 1ms? Are there any video comparisons?

Also what are some good monitor brands to look for?
