Hi, I'm planning on buying a Saphire 7950 ghz edition for my new pc and later in a few months, buy another to do crossfire, just wanted to know if it's worth it.

Solution

The 770 is just a rebranded overclocked GTX 680. Ofcourse two of them outperform a Titan. This information is readily available in every Titan review indicating that a 690 is superior to the Titan. You may want to wait for the GTX 760 Ti since it will likely be within 5-10% the performance of the 770 and will cost 25% less. Then again, the HD 7970 can already be overclocked to outperform the 770 when discussing single card performance so it really does come down to brand preference.

How far into the future are you planning on buying the 2nd card? The issues with multi-card setup can just as well reverse in 5-6 months down the line with driver updates.
