motherboard: intel DH67BL
ram: pny pc3-10666 1333MHz 2x4GB dual channel ddr3
video card: msi gt 630
psu: corsaire cx 750
hdd: western digital 1 tb
I installed all of the components and turned on the power and immediately there are 3 long beeps, which according to the motherboard indicates a memory error. I've tried all different configurations of the ram and resetting the bios, but no matter what I try I still get the 3 long beeps. Also, all of the lights turn on and fans spin, so everything is getting power. Any ideas as to what the problem is?
After reading a few threads (google intel DH67BL + i7-3770 + 3 long beeps):
1- need bios update tu use ivy bridge, but since you can't post might have to RMA or make someone update with sandy bridge cpu
2- might be incompatible with pny ram. Since you didn't provide serial number of ram, I can't find voltage for you ram, so that might be the trouble.
here are ram specification for mobo
1.5 V DDR3 SDRAM DIMMs with gold plated contacts, with the option to raise the voltage to support higher performance DDR3 SDRAM DIMMs.
Support for 1.35V Low Voltage DDR3 (new JEDEC specification)
Two independent memory channels with interleaved mode support
Unbuffered, single-sided or double-sided DIMMs with the following restriction: Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported.
32 GB maximum total system memory (with 4 Gb memory technology).
Minimum recommended total system memory: 512 MB Non-ECC DIMMs Serial Presence Detect DDR3 1333 MHz and DDR3 1066 MHz SDRAM DIMMs
My recommendation: ditch the board because intel mobo are not that great or ditch the ram: had problems with pny before with them.
