Here's my Spec

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.130318-1533)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: ASUSTeK Computer INC.
System Model: CM1630
BIOS: BIOS Date: 12/21/11 13:08:34 Ver: 08.01
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
4096MB RAM
The Current Graphics Card I have: AMD 6670 Radeon 1GB

You think my computer is ready for the Upgrade?

Also I was also wondering if my case was big enough for the GPU
I have an Asus Essentio this isn't exactly the version I had but it's the same case

  1. I would upgrade my case if i was you to something like an Antec300 case, very nice air flow in them. What are you trying to achieve or you believe is lacking in your gaming experience? What resolution monitor do you use?

I have a monitor CRT(the brand is HWP) it goes up 1280 x 1024 and once when my computer didn't identify it once it went up to 1440xsomething

But I want to be able to run the new games like Bioshock in highsettings with good fps. I'm begining to move to the PC world where I can play games (and maybe record) with good frame.

At that resolution, a 7850 would be a better match.
However, if you plan to upgrade to a 1080p monitor in the future, by all means get the 7870.
Good choice with XFX by the way, they're the best brand of AMD cards in my opinion.
  4. Thanks, I'll be upgrading my monitor eventually this year
