Hello everyone, this is my first build so I'm not exactly sure if I'm doing everything right.
My current problem is, I seem to be able to get my Radeon HD 7970 into the PCIE slot fine, my problem is that it doesn't seem to want to go past a point. I'm using a ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard. I'm pressing pretty firmly on the top but it won't budge. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well there's a small slider on the side, I've slid it as far to the right as it goes as you see in that picture, is that what you're talking about?

Make sure the slot covers on the rear io of the case is removed. Check that the pci slot of the video card has space to slide in behind the mb. On new builds people an push the mb to far back and pci slot cards won't fit. Check that the two slot video card not hitting a cap. Use a flashlight make sure the pci card lined up to the slot.

Not familiar with AsRock PCI-E locking system, but yeah there generally is a latch or locking system on the far right side of the slot. Another possible cause could be that you haven't removed your case expansion slot covers or there is some sort of expansion slot locking system blocking the card from being seated.

I'm currently just doing a pre-build outside of my case, but it seem like the problem is on the left side of the slot, that the right side easily sinks down farther but the whole thing won't go down because something is stuck on the left side.

Ugh this is just crippling, the video card just won't sit right... I've looked down inside the slot with a flashlight, I can see a clear path down into it... Nothing seems to be obstructing it..
