Hello,
I just joined tomshardware but I have been a frequent user of the forums here always finding a solution to a problem I was experiencing, until now.
I have my 37' Polariod HDTV hooked up to my rig via a DVI to HDMI cable (DVI in the graphics card, nVidia GTX 260, and the HDMI into the back of my TV). Last night I was playing around w/ my screen resolution and hit a resolution that blacked out my screen, waited a few minutes for it to revert back and no luck. So I restarted my Machine and was still greeted w/ a black screen, rehooked my TV up to my rig via VGA (TV) to DVI (Rig) and changed my resolution back (1366 to 768 i believe) then switched it back over to the HDMI-DVI set up and still a black screen(My tv still reads the old resolution 1280-960 i believe?). I have been messing w/ this all day now and cant get it back so my question is if I uninstalled my monitor drivers would my computer need to restart and if I hooked the DVI-HDMI connection up in time would my rig automatically reinstall the drivers and fix my problem? And if not what are some other options for me?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

*Note* I could leave my TV hooked up via the VGA-DVI connection but the quality is very dull, especially for gaming. I would really like/want my HDMI/DVI connection back, thanks!.
