I plan to upgrade to it since my 7870 is having overheating issues which I couldn't fix, and I can't send it in for a replacement. I am going to purchase it off amazon but my first brand choice EVGA is sold out. I don't want to pay over retail just because of it just being released, and the hype. I'm wondering why other brands have not been sold out? Are some better than others? Do some brands have issues and such? As of right now there is only two brands available, MSI and Gigabyte. I will not be purchasing for about a week, cause that is when I will have the funds available to use. So there is a chance that possibly more get put on amazon that can be shipped with amazon prime. Please let me know what I should do about this situation or any tips.

(Do not suggest that the GTX 780 is too much, I don't want to worry about low FPS's anymore, much less when new games are released)

*I am open to other card suggestions, in the price/performance range

Thanks

EVGA has the best service/warranty, they also have non-reference models right now. Wait a while longer and keep checking now and again Amazon should be restocking soon. I think Newegg has stock EVGA GTX 780 model so you may want to check there! My second choice would be either Asus or Gigabyte
