Okay here I have a new build I will be doing.

planning to buy it in end of July (I'm moving so will build as soon as I get to my new home)
This will be for gaming primarily, but also for some 3d game development.
I will be doing a lot of overclocking, so I am putting in the water cooling - also, I like how it looks :)

PSU: Corsair ax860i
GPU: gtx 780 (watercooled)
CPU: Intel 4770k (watercooled)
RAM: G.Skill Trident 2400 2x8gb
Mobo: Asus Rampage Formula
Case: Corsair Obsidian 900d
Monitor: Eizo Foris FS23333
Keyboard: Filco Majetouch Ninja
Fans: 4x Scythe ap-15 (for rad)
Fans: 3x corsair 120 AF silent for airflow
Tubing: Primochill advanced lrt uv red
Fittings: Set of xspc fittings depending on what I need
Res: haven't decided yet
Radiator: xspc rx 480
Coolant: distilled water
Pump: Swiftech 655
CPU block: xspc raystorm
GPU block: xspc razor & backplate
Thermal compound: Artic silver 5
Wiring: corsair red sleeved cables
lighting: need to get case to see what I need

All this cost me $3300 ($3700 with tax)

I would be will to go a bit higher if it will significantly boost my system. I know by the time I will build my pc, there might be some better hardware out, or something very close to being out, such as the next amd graphic or whatever, but I still want your opinions on the overall build.

Any advice is great appreciated!

i can tell you know asking now is pointless. prices change EVERY WEEK. but i can tell you what id get as of now

heres what id change out of yours

-there are cheaper 850w units that are just as good
-fast ram is useless. it costs a fortune, yet does nothing
-there is no rampage board for haswell. only maximus
-you can get a cheaper board that isnt ROG that does the same job for half the price
-case is overkill. you can never use that much space
-cheaper keyboards that are bulit just as well
-better fans out there
-better monitors out there
-for this rig, you can just grab a swiftech h220 and expand on it. the onboard pump has enough power to drive 2 GPUs and a few blocks and rads. there is a built in res
-arctic silver 5 performs worse than the stock paste
-the stock cables are fine given that they are all black

id get this. the 4770k and the z87x-ud4h will slot right in when they roll out

the other parts that you may want to change out is the GPUs. you can later on pick up the hydro coppers or just a EK or Swiftech block for the GPU. a single 780 is enough for the panel i chose. you can also add a 240mm rad in the front of the case if need be

I thought you were talking about the thermal paste that comes with the cpu.
Anyways, I have saved the money for the computer for a while now, and am going to do the custom loop.
Going 1k under my budget, and completely changing the entire idea of my build does not help me.
What I am looking for, however, is advice on specific parts of my build, that will get me a superior item for the same/slightly higher price.

He made some pretty good remarks to be honest. If you're just want to go overkill, don't bother posting and just do what you want. I would suggest to go for an LGA 2011-based system due to the better performance than Haswell and the budget you have, but my guess is you aren't willing to change those parts either.

Ya I was thinking of a nice big res (maybe a t-virus) to put beside my mobo to fill it up.
Any other suggestions?

yep. everything i listed i would suggest be changed. the h220 is capable of a custom loop. all you need to do is open the unit up, add your rads, blocks, and tubing and you are good to go
