Networking ignoramus here
I've been using StrongVPN for spoofing US sites from Europe. Vudu is onto this and is now blocking access from OpenVPN providers like StrongVPN. I was thinking about alternatives.
In Europe I have a typical cable ISP with a cable modem and a Linksys wireless router (running DD-WRT and StrongVPN).
In the US my family also has a cable ISP with a cable modem and a Linksys wireless router.
My idea is to connect to my family's cable modem or Linksys router so that my Internet traffic appears to be coming from the US and not Europe. I should then get full unimpeded access to US sites and my family's Internet access should be unaffected except of course for bandwidth usage.
I have no special affinity for DD-WRT so if a new Linksys router is in order for an easy connection, that's fine.
Please advise on the smartest setup under these circumstances.
Thanks in advance!
